A wedding bus carrying guests has fallen into a river in Diamer district in northern Pakistan.
According to rescuers, 22 people drowned, and one passenger was saved.
A bus carrying wedding guests fell into a river in Diamer district of Gilgit-Baltistan, Dawn TV reported.
Rescuers pulled sixteen bodies from the water, the search for the rest continues.
Senior Superintendent of Police Diamer Sher Khan said the woman, who was the bride, suffered multiple injuries and was taken to hospital.
The rescue service explained: "On Tuesday afternoon, a bus from Astore fell into the Indus River from the Telchi bridge in Diamer district of Gilgit-Baltistan."
The car was part of a wedding convoy heading to Chakwal district in Punjab.
The identities of the people who were on the bus and died in the accident have been established.
Of those drowned in the river, 19 were from Astore and four were from Chakwal district in Punjab.
Representatives of the district administration arrived at the scene of the tragedy to lead the search operation in the river.
President Asif Ali Zardari expressed condolences to the relatives and families of the victims.
