The country neighboring Israel was completely without power.

Lebanon is left without power due to a fuel shortage in the country.

This was reported on Saturday, August 17, by the local television channel LBC, citing the state-owned enterprise Électricité du Liban (EDL).

The last power unit of the powerful Al-Zahrani power plant in the Middle Eastern country has stopped working.

The country, which covers an area of 10,452 square kilometers, has lost all electricity supply.

Houses and apartments, as well as key facilities in the country, were left without power. The problem affected the airport and the seaport. Water pumps and sewage systems are not working.

Authorities have urged Lebanese to use water wisely as the power outage has also affected local hydropower.
