New Zealand police search for lollipops laced with banned substance
In New Zealand, law enforcement officers are searching for unknown individuals who distributed candies containing a prohibited substance to those in need.
It is emphasized that the content of the said substance in the lollipops was quite high.
The police say: “We are talking about the Auckland City Mission charity,” as reported by TASS .
At present, about 29 candies have been found, which, according to law enforcement officials, is an encouraging result.
Unusual lollipops
It is emphasized that law enforcement officers are trying to find out how many more candies could have been distributed.
As noted by law enforcement agencies, this concerns, in particular, products disguised as the Rinda Pineapple brand.
It is believed that the lollipops were distributed to those in need only in the Auckland area.
In addition, local police found out that one of the people who received the candy in question tried to sell it through marketplaces.
