New Hezbollah Leader Promises Victory Over Israel
Lebanon commented on the further development of the conflict with Israel.
The new leader of the Hezbollah movement said that he will achieve victory over the enemy.
Naim Qassem's words, spoken after his election, were published on the Lebanese movement's Telegram channel.
The Shura Council, which appoints people to new positions in Hezbollah, appointed Qassem to the post of secretary general on October 29.
The head of the Lebanese movement promised that he would continue to follow the course set by his predecessor Hassan Nasrallah. Recall that the last secretary general of the organization was liquidated during an operation by the Israeli army IDF on October 4.
Qassem stressed that Lebanon will continue to support the Palestinian population living in the Gaza Strip, where a confrontation between Israel and the Hamas movement is currently unfolding.
There are many victims ahead of us, the organization's secretary general admitted.
At the same time, he emphasized that, despite the losses, victory will be Lebanon’s.
