Mossad Finds Way to Make Hezbollah Members Hold Pagers with Both Hands
The massive pager explosions in Lebanon have left more questions than answers.
According to sources, Israel managed to trick Hezbollah members into using both hands on a pager.
This was done so that each militant would have both arms damaged and would be unable to continue fighting,The Washington Post writes.
The pagers were allegedly made in Israel, and the idea of exploding the batteries belonged to the Mossad.
The sources' report said thousands of Hezbollah members received a message asking them to press two buttons.
This forced them to use both hands to press, resulting in pagers exploding and numerous casualties.
The document also emphasizes that the explosives in the pagers and radios were hidden in such a way that disassembling the device or even X-raying it did not reveal any danger.
In 2015, Mossad managed to gain full access to Hezbollah communications.
Israeli officers have been eavesdropping on Hezbollah for nine years.
The booby-trapped pagers were taken to Taiwan, from where they went to Hungary and then to Lebanon.
