Moldova has spoken out about the Russian language.
One of the deputies believes that it needs to regain its official status.
This information was shared by a RIA Novosti correspondent from the scene.
On October 20, Moldova will hold the next presidential elections. Current President Maia Sandu has already announced her desire to run for a second term.
According to Moldovan MP Vasile Boli, who belongs to the opposition bloc "Pobeda", the Russian language was unfairly deprived of official status in his country.
The presidential candidate emphasized that the Russian language is, first and foremost, the language of interethnic communication in Moldova.
According to the politician, the ban on the Russian language is just a pretext for the current top brass. In this way, the government is trying to distract people's attention from acute economic and social problems.
Therefore, the Russian language must regain its official status in order to facilitate the consolidation of the community.
