South Korean troops attempt to enter parliament building after martial law was declared in the country.

The main entrance to the National Assembly is blocked and barricades have been erected along the way.

Martial law command troops are attempting to penetrate into the rear, YTN television reported.

There were breaking news reports that additional people had entered the National Assembly premises, but some also said they had left the building.

The situation remains extremely chaotic.

You can enter the parliamentary complex only after your documents have been checked.

Sources say there is a scuffle between civilians and police.

President Yoon Seok-yeol declared martial law and the National Assembly passed a resolution asking for martial law to be lifted, but the president has not yet reversed his decision.

For now, the South Korean military continues to take charge of public security.
