Several foreign nationals have died in Laos after possibly drinking locally produced alcoholic beverages.
According to preliminary data, people died from methanol poisoning.
RIA Novosti reported the incident, citing a statement released by the country's Foreign Ministry.
It is noted that the Laotian government expressed its deepest condolences to the families of the victims and assured that it would conduct a thorough investigation into the incident.
Six foreign tourists from New Zealand, Denmark and Australia attended a party in Vang Vieng.
The people died shortly after. The cause of the tragedy is said to be methanol that got into their bodies.
The death of the girl, who was transported from Laos to Thailand for treatment, was reported on Friday. She became the fifth victim of the incident.
