Kazakhstan bans government officials and military personnel from gambling
Restrictive measures on participation in gambling are provided for civil servants, military personnel and employees of the special services of Kazakhstan.
The ban is provided for by the new law on regulating the gambling business, signed by the President of Kazakhstan Tokayev.
Failure to comply with the new requirements will result in severe punishment, the press service of the Kazakh leader reported on the Telegram channel.

The measures are aimed at reducing gambling addiction among the population, including Kazakh officials.
The report emphasizes that the list of persons affected by the ban on participation in gambling and betting has been expanded.
According to the new requirements, civil servants, military personnel, employees of special and law enforcement agencies, and public sector employees will not be able to participate in gambling.
Officials face dismissal for failure to comply with these requirements.
Earlier, Tokayev accepted the resignation of the Kazakh government .
