The President of Finland has revealed the country's plans in the event of a possible military conflict.
If the need arises, the country intends to mobilize approximately 280 thousand people.
The new head of state spoke about this in an interview with the German television channel Welt .
Alexander Stubb noted that his country has one of the strongest Defense Forces that are part of NATO.
Let us recall that Finland became part of the North Atlantic Alliance in 2023. The Kremlin, commenting on this fact, considered it a senseless step.
Stubb noted that if necessary, the country is ready to call up about 280 thousand people into the army.
At the same time, the country does not deny that increased combat readiness and a long-term crisis in Finland could allegedly arise against the backdrop of growing aggression from Russia.
In turn, the Russian Ambassador to Finland Pavel Kuznetsov noted earlier that the Russian Federation is closely monitoring the rearmament of the Finnish army and navy.
