In Germany, they have not ruled out that difficult times await people soon.

The Federal Office for Civil Defence and Disaster Relief has not ruled out that Germans may soon experience blackouts.

Vice President of the department Rene Funk made this statement in an interview with the T-online portal.

According to the head of the organization, Germany has recently been faced with a large number of hybrid attacks. Moreover, their target is critical infrastructure facilities.

Because of this, it is possible that the country could be threatened by various emergency situations, including long-term power outages.

As Funk emphasized, every German household must be prepared for such a scenario. This includes having everything necessary to survive for at least three days without outside help.

Funk compiled a list of essentials, which included:

  • drinking water at the rate of 1.5 liters per family member per day;
  • light sources that do not depend on the power grid - matches, candles, battery-powered flashlights;
  • hygiene products;
  • products that do not require cooking.
