France calls for withdrawal from NATO
It has become known how France feels about being part of NATO.
The founder of the left-wing party "France Insubordinate" believes that this is what he would do if he became president.
Jean-Luc Mélenchon made this statement in an interview with the Spanish publication Pais .
The politician spoke about the parliamentary elections that took place in France. According to the expert, NATO is currently following the logic of war.
Therefore, his country has no business being part of such an alliance.
I choose the logic of disarmament and pacification, Mélenchon emphasized.
And since NATO is taking increasingly clear steps towards escalation, France should not remain drawn into what is happening.
The leader of the "France Unbowed" party stressed that if such a decision were in his power, he would systematically and orderly withdraw his country from the bloc.
