Former Polish Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro has found himself at the center of a high-profile scandal.
The Polish Sejm suspected him of wiretapping Polish politicians.
The Seimas's petition on this issue was sent to the Prosecutor General, TVP Info reports.
The former minister repeatedly avoided questioning by the Seimas committee. In response, the committee forwarded the petition to the Prosecutor General.
In addition, they want to strip Zbigniew Ziobro of his parliamentary immunity.
The reason for such categorical measures was the identified violations in the use of spyware for wiretapping politicians.
The chairperson of the Seimas committee on this issue, Magdalena Sroka, confirmed that the petition had been sent to the Prosecutor General.
After this, the prosecutor initiates an appeal to the Seimas to strip Ziobro of his mandate.
The political scandal surrounding Ziobro erupted after Tomasz Siemoniak's statement about the use of Pegasus software by the secret services to eavesdrop on Polish politicians.
