Flight attendant collapses dead in front of passengers and crew
The 57-year-old flight attendant died suddenly shortly before takeoff.
The incident occurred in Italy on board a plane that was about to make a domestic flight.
The ITA Airways plane was at Rome airport, the New York Times reports. It was expected to fly to Reggio Calabria.
Flight attendant Gabriella Cario was a passenger on the flight. She planned to return home, where her husband and three sons were waiting for her.
Before the flight, she felt unwell, but decided not to seek medical help, wanting to see her loved ones as soon as possible.
She walked into the plane's cabin. Then she suddenly felt ill, lost consciousness and died a few minutes later in front of the other passengers.
Medics arrived quickly, but they could no longer help the woman. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
The media only writes about some "sudden illness". Everything happened so quickly that even doctors did not have time to help the experienced flight attendant.
