A giant sunfish, also known as a mola mola, has been spotted on an Oregon beach for the third time this summer.

Seaside Aquarium announced this in a press release on social media.

The fish was found on the shore at Hag Point State Park in Clatsop County, USA.

This huge fish is called the ocean sunfish, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Monterey Bay Aquarium officials described the large gray creature with a tiny mouth and large eyes as "the invention of a mad scientist."

This is the third time this summer that a giant sunfish has washed up on an Oregon beach.

The Australian Museum said that these fish can be found throughout the ocean, in tropical and temperate seas.

Oceanic mola molas roam the seas in search of jellyfish, which are their favorite food.
