FBI raids Channel One host's estate in the US
FBI agents are conducting searches at the Patria estate of American political scientist and Channel One host Dmitry Simes.
Locals claim that the FBI removed items from there and then appeared at the estate again.
This was reported by the Washington publication Rappahannock News .
The FBI said the searches of Simes' home were court-ordered as part of the investigation.
It is reported that Dimitri Simes purchased the 536.6 thousand square meter plot with his wife for $1.63 million several years ago.
Simes said he knew about the searches on his territory, but was not in the country.
The political scientist also said that he did not receive a search warrant and does not know what is going on there.
Sources say Simes had close ties to Donald Trump's previous campaign.
He has also hosted the show “Big Game” on Channel One since 2018.
Dmitry Simes also moderated the SPIEF plenary session with the participation of the Russian President in 2023.
