Factories with people are all over — Xiaomi has launched a factory where only AI robots work
Xiaomi's new factory assembles one smartphone every second.
All the work is done by robots equipped with artificial intelligence. People are not even needed for cleaning.
The Xiaomi press service announced the new plant, which has an area of 81 thousand square meters, on its Weibo page.
The corporation's CEO, Lei Jun, said the facility is located in Beijing in an area called Changping.
The factory operates 24/7. All work is done by robots. The production speed is a smartphone per second or more than 86 thousand units per day.

Cleanliness at the facility is also maintained using modern technologies and this is done at the micron level.
The company invested $330 million in the creation of the plant. But this is only the beginning, Xiaomi says. The corporation will continue to actively implement AI in the production processes of its factories.
