Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas and the government have resigned.

The Prime Minister and the entire government of Estonia have resigned.

The resignation letter has been submitted to Estonian President Alar Karis, writes the Estonian portal ERR .

The resignation was submitted on Monday morning at an extraordinary meeting.

Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas and the government will continue to work until the new cabinet takes office.

The decision to resign was announced on the morning of Monday, July 15.

Kallas expressed hope that the new cabinet would meet soon.

Kaja Kallas is leaving her post to replace EU diplomacy chief Josep Borrell.
