A DNA testing company with apparent ties to Russia has apparently gone out of business without informing its customers.

They don't know what happened to their confidential data.

The London-based company offered clients information about their genetic makeup and links to the disease, the Mirror reports.

However, the company's website is now down and customers cannot access their personalized data.

People who pay for this service want to know what happens to their most personal information.

The Information Commissioner's Office has confirmed it has received a complaint about the company.

The company appears to have ties to Russia. Two of its officials are listed at the same Moscow address as the Russian billionaire who is its resigned director.

Cybersecurity expert Professor Alan Woodward called the company's links to Russia "strange".

He said that people knowing the company's origins might not be so willing to trust it with their DNA data.
