According to Vakhrushev, abnormal heat is an indicator of global warming. It points to the fact that serious weather phenomena, such as precipitation and winds, may occur in Crimea.

He noted that at the end of summer and beginning of September, after hot weather in Crimea, storms and showers are expected.

It is added that on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, July 16, 17 and 18 respectively, Simferopol recorded record temperatures due to heat. These weather events led to problems with electricity.
