Chinese officials were outraged by the remarks made during a meeting of the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (QUAD), which includes the United States, Japan, Australia and India.
During the event, concerns were raised about the threat of other dangerous maneuvers in the South China Sea.
As a representative of the Chinese authorities noted, Japan's attacks contradict its statements about its desire to strengthen bilateral dialogue between the two countries.
In this regard, the Chinese Foreign Ministry called on Tokyo to stop interfering in China's internal affairs and stop increasing the risk of confrontation due to agreements with other states.
