A scandal has erupted in Poland over controversial products that recently appeared on store shelves.
We are talking about the so-called “children’s vodka” – flavored drinks based on strong alcohol.
As a RIA Novosti correspondent in Poland clarifies, the public was outraged by the packaging of this product. The alcohol-containing product was poured into containers that resembled children's juices.
Because of this, the new product was immediately dubbed "children's vodka". The line of this product includes alcoholic drinks of different strengths: 15%, 28% and 40% vodka.
The news reached the country's Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who promised that those responsible would be punished.
It is noted that Health Minister Izabela Leszczyna has already taken action by dismissing Piotr Jabłoński, who held the position of director of the National Center for Combating Addiction.
The manufacturer of the controversial product also responded to what was happening. The company announced the recall of alcoholic beverages from sale and also assured that production of the beverages would be stopped.
