New details of the incident with the sea yacht in Egypt have become known.
Rescuers safely helped 28 passengers of the ship to get out of there.
This information was shared by the RIA Novosti agency, citing information provided by the governor of the Red Sea province, Amr Hanafi.
Recall that the incident became known on November 25. According to authorities, the ship left Marsa Alam on November 24 and headed to Hurghada for diving.
There were 14 crew members and 31 tourists from thirteen countries on board the yacht, however, according to the testimony of the Russian Consul General in Hurghada, Viktor Voropaev, there were no Russians among them.
In order to save the victims, a helicopter was sent to the scene, which took away some of the people rescued from the sunken yacht. A frigate was sent to evacuate the rest.
According to updated information, 28 people have been rescued so far, the remaining 17 are still missing, and rescuers are continuing to search for survivors of the disaster.
