In Rus', it was customary to harvest hay on this day, since the beginning of heavy rains could cause it to get wet and rot.

Samson was considered a legendary figure because he was able to masterfully heal people from various diseases.

Samson's parents were wealthy Christians. They managed to give their son a decent education and instill in him a love for healing people.

According to sacred texts, Samson's successes in medicine became known far beyond the borders of Rome thanks to his medical talent.

The saint received both visitors from his native places and foreigners who wanted to take advantage of his healing talents. At the same time, he was a devout Christian and condemned paganism.

What you shouldn't do on Samson's Day

On this day, many people followed certain rules:

  • did not roll around on hay or straw;
  • did not become lazy and did not become couch potatoes;
  • did not refuse requests for mercy.

It was on July 10 that it was considered a grave sin to commit ungodly acts, namely, to leave children alone. Otherwise, according to beliefs, one could suffer seriously.

What can you do on Samson's Day?

Today it is recommended to go to church and ask the Higher Powers for financial well-being.

It is also worth washing yourself with dew or rainwater, in order, according to beliefs, to maintain attractiveness for a long time.
