A rumbling stomach indicates that you need to eat.

However, if your stomach rumbles constantly and this happens regardless of food intake, this is a reason to worry.

Let's figure out what this symptom indicates.

Why does the stomach growl: reasons

Rumbling can be caused by both hunger and, conversely, overeating. Due to the stretching of the stomach, the volume of gastric juice increases, which causes rumbling.

After eating, gases form in the stomach, which also make a rumbling sound.

The same reaction can accompany lactose and gluten intolerance.

If the rumbling is not accompanied by any other symptoms, then this phenomenon is normal and will soon go away on its own.

If the rumbling occurs frequently and is accompanied by diarrhea, this is a reason to see a doctor. For example, this phenomenon is accompanied by incomplete intestinal patency, which is also accompanied by painful sensations.
