Parshina explained that mold spores can grow on the surface of food products, writes Lenta.ru .

The further development of mycotoxins can lead to breathing problems and allergies.

In addition, dangerous salmonella can grow along with mold.

The doctor warned that consuming these products could lead to poisoning.

She said that simply cutting off visible mold from the product would not be enough as a preventative measure.

The mold grows deeper and this makes the product unsafe.

Parshina advises throwing out such products to avoid health problems.

The doctor reminded that there is noble mold, which is used for some types of cheese.

However, even these cheeses can become covered with harmful mold if stored improperly.
