It would seem that there is nothing easier and simpler than taking a shower.

I stood under it, adjusted the pressure and temperature, soaped my body and head, washed it all off - and it was beautiful!

In reality, when taking a shower, you need to follow certain rules. What are they?

The first of these rules is to make the water not hot, but slightly warm, with a temperature approaching body temperature.

Hot water gushing from a shower head washes away the entire barrier layer of the skin, and after a shower, even naturally oily skin can become dehydrated and covered with small peeling spots.

Rule number two: use soft cream-gels with a light scent or none at all to wash your body.

Aromatic additives in shower gels can also irritate and dehydrate the epidermis. There is nothing to say about soap, with its high alkaline pH.

The third rule - if you are used to washing your body twice a day, then use a detergent in the evening, and try to do without it in the morning. After all, the body does not get so dirty overnight that you need to wash with a gel in the morning.

The fourth rule is not to apply gel or soap to the washcloth every time you wash. Lather your palms and gently move them over your body. Hard washcloths also remove the protective layer from the skin, contributing to its dehydration, so it is not advisable to use them on a daily basis.

Rule number five - you can't wash your hair every time you find yourself under the water from the shower. Frequent washing with shampoo is harmful to both hair and skin, even if you don't neglect hair conditioner. To keep your hair from getting wet, put on a shower cap and then get under the shower.

Rule number six - do not actively rub your body with a towel after getting out of the shower. Yes, it improves blood circulation, but at the same time you stretch and rub the skin, causing harm to it. Take a soft towel and pat your body dry with gentle movements.

And, without waiting for it to dry completely, apply oil or lotion. Care products are absorbed better and work more effectively in slightly damp skin.

By following these rules, you will be able to maintain basic body hygiene without damaging the skin on it.
