Dementia expert Katherine Jenkins has revealed which unusual behaviours in a shop could be signs of dementia.

According to the researcher, buying the same products is a red flag.

In an interview with the foreign publication The Sun, Jenkins pointed out: “Such actions are not only a signal of developing dementia, but they also indicate the onset of dementia.”

The expert also explained that a person who does the same things regularly believes that he is doing it for the first time.

What is important to remember

Jenkins also noted that people suffering from impending dementia may make the same shopping lists several times.

The specialist noted: "Pay attention to the mood of such a person. Very often he is depressed and apathetic."

Anxiety is also a key symptom of dementia. The patient tends to call loved ones several times a day, forgetting that he has already spoken to them.

The expert urged to monitor the mood of relatives, especially the elderly, in order to provide them with assistance in time.
