Sausage and hot dogs: 4 diseases that arise from love for these products

Almost all Russians love sausages and hot dogs.

Only one in ten working citizens refuses them, while the rest buy them almost daily.

And only the deterioration of the material condition of citizens led to the fact that the sale of this product has decreased by 2.5% since 2015. But the New Year and May holidays still "force" people to spend money on sausages and hot dogs.

At this time, sales are breaking all records. But few Russians suspect that these products are of no use at all. They can cause a number of diseases.

Cancer and Scientists' Facts

Back in 2005, the WHO recognized red meat (beef, goat, lamb, mutton and pork) as conditionally dangerous food products, and their processed form (sausages and hot dogs) as dangerous.

Their unhealthy influence on the body is expressed as follows:
• women are at risk of “getting” breast cancer (according to scientists from Harvard University in 2018);
• a person of either gender can get colon cancer (warn scientists at the Vanderbilt Cancer Research Center in 2013);
• the risk of developing pancreatic cancer increases by 67% (say scientists from Tufts University in Boston).

Even two pieces of sausage a day can lead to the development of bowel cancer.

Atherosclerosis and bad fat

This is due to elevated cholesterol levels in the blood, which leads to blockage of blood vessels and plaque formation. What do sausages and hot dogs have to do with it? They contain low-density fat – cholesterol.

Even if the packaging says that the sausage is made from pure meat without adding any third-party products, this simply cannot be true. In any sausage, the meat does not exceed 50%, the rest is filled with fat.

Recently, instead of vegetable and animal fat, manufacturers have started adding palm oil to sausages in order to make the product cheaper. So sausages have become even more dangerous than they were before.

Hypertension and salt

If you eat a lot of salt, hypertension will definitely appear. And there is too much salt in sausage. Why? Because a product made from meat spoils quickly and needs to be preserved as long as possible.

This is where salt comes to the rescue – an old and proven preservative that retains water in the body, leading to swelling and high blood pressure.

Obesity and Calorie Content

Many sausage lovers mistakenly believe that it is dietary. But this is not true. Cheap sausages are extremely high in calories, as are their expensive counterparts. Often, instead of meat, manufacturers add a lot of soy and starch.

Therefore, folds at the waist are guaranteed for those who like to treat themselves to sandwiches with sausage or boiled sausages.

Not everything that tastes good is healthy, especially when it comes to processed red meat products.

Earlier it was reported that Russians were told about the dangers of sudden weight loss .
