The founder of the National Parents' Committee, Irina Volynets, proposes banning the sale of highly carbonated soft drinks containing sugar to children under 18, writes RT .

One of the goals of state policy is to protect minors from factors that negatively affect their physical development.

The text of the appeal to the State Duma speaks of the importance of supporting the initiative to introduce a ban on the sale of carbonated drinks to children under 18 years of age.

Volynets believes that a ban on sales alone will not be enough. The state should facilitate an information campaign about the harm of consuming this product.

Children and parents should be provided with information about the damaging effects of soda consumption and the benefits of healthy alternatives.
