Over 18,000 donors have donated blood in the Moscow region since the beginning of the year

Since the beginning of 2024, over 18 thousand donors have donated blood in the Moscow region.
The Moscow Agency reports details with reference to the press service of the regional Ministry of Health and the head physician of the Moscow Regional Blood Center, Maria Appalup.
It is noted that among the 18 thousand people there were those who donated blood for the first time. The number of such people was more than 2 thousand.
It is also known that blood donation is carried out in various places, including Shchyolkovo, Orekhovo-Zuyevo, and the regional Blood Center.
In addition, in 2024, blood was donated over 23 thousand times.
According to the chief physician, the number of donors increases every year. Thanks to this, blood reserves are growing.
It is added that the majority of citizens donate blood completely free of charge.
