Scientists from the Volga Region Research Medical University and the Institute of Applied Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences reported that a way to combat urological infections has been found.

The researchers emphasized: “Urological infections are difficult to treat due to the resistance of bacteria to antibiotics,” as reported by the Kommersant newspaper.
However, biologists managed to develop a unique treatment method.

According to research, the photosensitizer interacts with light rays.
This subsequently leads to the formation of active forms of oxygen, which destroy pathogenic bacteria.
