The problem of alcoholism remains one of the most acute in Russia.
In this regard, it is important to know what signs indicate alcohol addiction.
Doctor of Medical Sciences Yuri Sivolap shared his observations in a conversation with Lenta.ru .
The expert reminded us how insidious alcohol is. Some categories of people can start a binge drinking after the first glass, because once alcohol gets into the body, a person can no longer resist the desire to drink more.
The narcologist named an irresistible desire to drink alcohol as the first reason.
The second sign is withdrawal syndrome, when a person feels unwell if he or she has abstained from drinking alcohol for some time.
Also, problems with alcohol are indicated by:
- awareness that alcohol is harmful to health and continued consumption;
- tolerance to alcohol, when intoxication occurs only with an increase in the dose;
- the inability to rest and relax without alcoholic beverages.
