If you have heartburn and a feeling of heaviness after eating, you probably have an upset stomach.

This can happen to anyone.

Most often, pregnant mothers suffer from this sensation, which is helped by the enlarged uterus pressing on the abdomen, but this is only a temporary problem.

Heartburn is most often caused by the return of acidic gastric juice into the esophagus, the mucous membranes of which have no protective mechanisms against its effects and are irritated by it. The burning and sharp pain in the chest is actually inflammation of the mucous membrane of the esophagus.

Sugary foods and alcohol are the most likely to cause increased production of gastric juice and can cause these problems. Other triggers include black coffee, fried and fatty foods, poppy seeds, nicotine, and black tea.

Carbonated water is also not suitable, sometimes acidic juices and citrus fruits cause problems.

Sometimes heartburn is caused by a sudden increase in intra-abdominal pressure when lifting heavy objects or bending forward. Similarly, bending forward will aggravate existing pain.

The most important thing is to avoid dangerous foods. If you are overweight, you will feel much better once you get your weight back to normal.

Take advantage of some good old advice:

- Include yogurt or even sour cream in your diet
- Eat sauerkraut
- Drink raw potato juice
- Aloe vera juice
- Eat celery or carrots
- Drink tea made from anise, rapeseed or fennel
- Drink lemon juice with cold water.

If your health does not improve, it is better to consult a doctor who will find out the real cause of your problems and recommend effective treatment.

Sometimes these problems can be caused not only by dietary errors, but also by more serious conditions that require treatment.

Discomfort in eating, rush, constant tension and stress - these are the factors that uncompromisingly affect the frequency of heartburn. Minimize these negative moments and benefit not only your stomach.
