Russian nutritionist Rimma Moisenko told how much and for whom it is useful to eat apples.
Any apples are harmless to a healthy person: red, yellow, green.
People suffering from problems with the pancreas and intestines are better off avoiding fresh apples, RIA Novosti writes.
It is useful for older people to eat neutral apples – not sour, not sweet.
Moisenko explained that the amount of vitamins and nutrients varies depending on the color and variety of fruit.
She also advised on how to eat apples properly.
Apples will bring maximum benefit to the body if consumed in the first half of the day, no later than afternoon snack.
However, it is not necessary to peel the skin, so as not to lose an additional portion of fiber and antioxidants.
It is enough to eat 1-2 apples per day, or on average 100-300 grams.
Eating a lot of apples will not bring any benefit. It will overload the digestive system.
Before eating apples, they need to be washed, removing any damage to the skin.
