Doctor recommends giving baby rotavirus vaccination before vacation

When going on a trip, many parents forget about childhood vaccinations.

Parents traveling with a baby should make sure that the baby is vaccinated against rotavirus. The Moscow Agency reports details, citing infectious disease specialist Olga Kandoba.

It is noted that in summer there is increased activity of viruses that can cause intestinal infections.

According to the doctor, rotavirus is contagious. Sometimes it can spread throughout a hotel where there are infected children.

She noted that symptoms of the disease include loose stools, vomiting and fever.

It is added that to prevent unpleasant situations, the child needs to be vaccinated. It is done several times. Babies receive the first dose at the age of 6 to 12 weeks. The introduction of the vaccine is completed by the 32nd week of the child's life.
