Russian doctor Alexander Myasnikov commented on the need to take a vitamin test.

He drew attention to the nuances that Russians who are planning to take such a test undoubtedly need to know.

It’s fashionable now, but it’s a scam for a lot of money,” Myasnikov explained on his Telegram channel.

According to Myasnikov, the level of vitamins in the blood, including fat-soluble ones, can depend on the time of day and food intake.

Some vitamins are able to remain in the body without being reflected in the blood.

The doctor also emphasized that each organism has its own individual need for nutrients.

Also, the results of the analysis depend on the accuracy of the equipment and the methods of its implementation.

Myasnikov said that a person who has a balanced diet does not need vitamin tests.

It’s a different matter for a patient with malabsorption and symptoms of hypovitaminosis, the doctor noted.

Myasnikov recalled a similar situation with mineral analysis.

Routine testing of such microelements is not required unless there is a need for copper, iodine and zinc tests, he wrote.

Myasnikov stated that if desired, one can take vitamins, but it is not necessary to take expensive tests. He noted that, in all likelihood, if the method is not covered by the compulsory medical insurance, then most likely it is not needed.
