Blueberries and bilberries are similar-looking berries.

However, there are also significant differences in both the size of the berries and their properties.

Let's figure out which is healthier: blueberries or bilberries.

Both berries are low in calories and have similar compositions. They contain vitamins C, B, A, K and PP, pectins, fiber and other elements characteristic of berries.

At the same time, blueberries and bilberries differ quite significantly in appearance and taste. The first berry is dark purple, small, has a tart taste, while the second is larger, has a pronounced blue coating and a more neutral taste.

Both berries are rich in vitamin C, but its concentration is higher in blueberries.

But blueberries contain more manganese and flavonoids. That is why they are recommended to be eaten "for vision".

In addition, despite the modest size of the berries, blueberries contain more fiber. Therefore, you will eat fewer berries and feel full faster than in the case of blueberries.
