And this will affect their flowering and development.

If planting is still done in the spring, then some nuances must be taken into account.

So, the ground should not be frozen. It can be a little cool. The temperature should be between two and seven degrees.

However, autumn is considered the optimal time for planting peonies.

How to choose seedlings correctly

The condition of the plants depends on the seedlings. They need to be properly examined before planting.

It is advisable to choose seedlings with a large rhizome. There should be no mold or rot on it.

You also need to touch the roots. They should be strong enough, without knots or growths.

How to Plant Peonies

For planting, you will need a hole about 20 centimeters deep. Its width can be about 30 centimeters.

Add some compost to the bottom. You can also add 3 tablespoons of superphosphate and 5 tablespoons of wood ash.

Fill with soil and mix. Pour in about two liters of water and wait until it is absorbed.

We make a mound in the hole and place the rhizome in its center. Then we fill it with soil and lightly compact it.

Earlier we told you what you need to add to the hole before planting cucumbers.
