- A chainsaw or electric saw. This may be needed for thicker branches.
- Loppers. Loppers can also be manual, electric and petrol. The operating principle of these types is the same. You should pay attention to the material from which it is made and the size. A smaller lopper may be suitable for trimming small branches, if you are trimming the upper branches, you should pay attention to a lopper with long handles.
Why is it necessary to trim trees?
One of the main reasons is the removal of diseased branches. They weigh down the trees and the disease that killed them can spread to the entire tree.
Removing diseased branches stimulates the growth of new, healthy ones. This increases the yield and quality of the fruit itself. To reduce fungal infections, air circulation in the tree crown should be improved.

- Pruning in which the lower branches are removed, thereby raising the crown of the tree.
Tree pruning should be done in early spring, before the buds appear. The best time is when the air temperature is not below -5 degrees. A more precise time and period for favorable tree pruning is determined depending on the type of tree.
