Why do tomato seedlings turn yellow?
Tomato seedlings in a greenhouse can turn yellow for various reasons.
The most obvious are the following:
- nutritional deficiencies;
- watering errors (both excessive watering and lack of moisture are harmful to tomatoes);
- fungal diseases or pest activity;
- damage to roots during planting of seedlings in the ground.
In case of any deficiency of nutrients, adding a solution of mullein or liquid manure with the addition of wood ash will help.
If you make watering mistakes, remember that tomatoes should be watered only at the root once every 3-7 days, but generously. Each bush requires at least 5 liters of water.
To get rid of pests or treat diseases, it is necessary to find out the exact cause in order to take action.
