Pears, along with apple trees, are a favorite fruit tree among Russians.
Even with careful care, it often happens that the plant's leaves begin to turn black and dry out.
Together with the expert of the online publication TUT NOVOSTI, scientist agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , we will look into the causes of the problem and how to eliminate it.
If you encounter such a phenomenon, then rust fungus is almost certainly to blame.
The disease has characteristic symptoms. It all starts with small spots of a bright red hue, to which bacteriosis is added over time.
This, in turn, is the defeat of leaves previously infected with the fungus, which leads to the rapid drying out of the leaves.
If this happens, it is necessary to cut off all infected branches of the tree without regret, capturing 15-20 cm of healthy shoot.
The cut site must be treated, and the cut pear branches must be taken away and burned.
Earlier we wrote about why tomato leaves turn yellow and dry out.
