When an orchid suddenly begins to wither, not every gardener can save it.

Many people despair and rush to throw away the plant, although it is quite easy to correct the situation.

In order to save an orchid, it is necessary to follow the sequence of actions described by agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh .

How to save an orchid

First of all, you need to check if there is a peat tablet or peat cup in the pot.

A small flower is planted in them, but subsequently the tablet or cup begins to soak up moisture.

The tablet can be found at the base of the plant. To do this, just pour out the soil and remove the tablet. The unnecessary shells of dry and rotten roots are removed along with it.

After removing the rotten roots, the flower is transplanted into sphagnum.

The flower can be watered, but first you should pay attention to the color of the roots.

If the roots are grey, it’s time to water; if they are green, moisture is not needed; if they are yellow, the root has started to rot.

After new roots have formed, the plant can be transplanted to a permanent location.
