Have you noticed that the leaves of your cucumbers have started to turn yellow at the edges?

So, it’s high time to find out the reason for this phenomenon, so as not to lose the harvest.

Together with the expert of the online publication TUT NOVOSTI, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , we figure out why this happens.

Why do cucumber leaves turn yellow?

Yellow leaves indicate that your plants are lacking nutrients, specifically a lack of potassium and magnesium.

If the edges of the leaves turn yellow, then most likely there is a lack of potassium. Iron and manganese deficiency is manifested by yellowness against the background of dark green veins.

And if the upper leaves turn yellow, then the plant lacks copper and nitrogen. This situation is corrected by timely fertilizing of cucumbers.

Yellowing can also be caused by fungal diseases, in particular fusarium, which is characterized by rusty spots.

In addition, cucumbers can be infested with whiteflies or spider mites. The pests suck out all the juices from the plant, which can cause it to die.
