To strengthen the “health” of potatoes, it is necessary to use fertilizers.

Some summer residents are in no hurry to use them, believing that “chemicals” will accumulate in the root crops.

But there are biological preparations that will not harm the harvest, but will increase it. The advice was shared by the expert of the online publication TUT NOVOSTI, agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh .

Before sowing, it is recommended to add fertilizers containing manganese, copper and boric acid to the furrows. They stimulate the production of vitamin C in the tubers.

How to feed potatoes

It is more effective to use a product consisting of several additives. Combined fertilizers increase the yield several times.

There are several options:

  • 20 g of ammonium nitrate and potassium sulfate per 1 sq. m;
  • 8 kg of humus, 3 tbsp. of nitrophoska and a glass of ash per 1 sq. m.;
  • 7-10 kg of humus, 20 g of ammonium nitrate, 20 g of potassium sulfate, 30-40 g of superphosphate and 450 g of dolomite flour per 1 sq. m.

At different stages of plant development, you can also apply fertilizers, which will additionally stimulate the formation of large fruits.
