In February, you can carry out simple manipulations that will allow the ficus to grow a lush green “cap”.

Expert of the online publication "TUT NOVOSTI", agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told more about them.

Warm shower

Ficus loves this procedure. But the water temperature should be comfortable. If it is hot for you, then it is hot for the plant too. Therefore, the optimal temperature is within 40-50 degrees.

Top dressing

You can add a complex composition that is specially created for ficus. An alternative would be sweetened water - 1 teaspoon of sugar per 1 liter of water.

Also suitable is succinic acid feeding - 1 tablet per liter of water.

Trimming

The procedure promotes branching of shoots and the growth of a thick “cap” of dense green foliage.

Find the bud where you want to get a new branch. Carefully form a loop from the shoot so that the bud opens.

Secure it with a thread or a small cord. When the new shoot gains strength, remove the loop.
