Plums are rotting right on the branches: how to save a fruit tree
Sometimes summer residents and gardeners are faced with the problem that plums begin to rot right on the tree.

Fruit rot
This disease of fruit trees is accompanied by rotting of berries directly on the branches of the tree.
Scientifically, the disease is called moniliosis, it is caused by a fungus. It is easy to understand that the plants are affected by fruit rot.
The disease is accompanied by browning of branches and shoots, which look like they are burnt. The fruits become covered with spots and as a result either mummify on the branches or fall off.
To combat moniliosis, carefully remove already affected fruits and cut off the branches on which they grew. It is also necessary to loosen the soil around the tree to get rid of the fungus spores.
After the measures taken, the garden should be thoroughly treated with fungicides to prevent the fungus from infecting the plum tree again.
