What to plant near cabbage

Planting cabbage next to marigolds or calendula will help repel the cruciferous flea beetle.

You can also plant various herbs near the cabbage, including sage or thyme. This will help protect the plant from moth attacks.

But dill will help scare away aphids. Snails will not disturb cabbage if you plant borage next to it.

Cabbage will benefit from being planted next to parsley. Garlic and onions will also help repel pests.

You can plant radishes, beets or potatoes near cabbage. This will have a positive effect on the yield.

What not to plant

To avoid being left without a harvest, it is better to avoid planting cabbage next to certain other plants.

You shouldn't plant tomatoes nearby. This plant will attract slugs.

Fennel will also be a bad neighbor. Because of this, the cabbage root system may develop rather poorly, which will affect the future harvest.

It is better not to plant carrots near cabbage. Otherwise, both of these crops may disappoint with the harvest.
