Sometimes gardeners are faced with the fact that garlic begins to get sick and turn yellow.
However, some simple methods can help you avoid such problems.
Agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh spoke about this.
The bed where garlic is planted must be regularly loosened and weeded.
Thanks to such manipulations, the garlic will receive more moisture and nutrients.
To begin with, the soil can be loosened to a depth of about three centimeters, and then up to seven centimeters.
At the same time, you must be sure to remove weeds from the garden bed. After all, they can attract various pests and “take away” nutrients from the garlic.
Don't forget about fertilizing garlic. In May, you can fertilize this plant with nitrogen.
If this is not done, the garlic will grow poorly and may turn yellow.
Wood ash will also help protect garlic from yellowing and diseases. It is enough to simply scatter it between the rows and slightly loosen the soil.
You can also use ammonia for garlic. For 10 liters of water you will need 50 mg of this product.
It is just important to ensure that this solution does not get on the garlic leaves.
