Planting dill and onions in the same bed is not only possible, but even necessary.
After all, such a neighborhood will be beneficial for these crops.
Agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh spoke about this in more detail.
Firstly, this way you can save space in the garden bed.
While the onion is growing and gaining strength, the dill can yield a harvest more than once.
Secondly, during growth, dill releases substances called phytoncides.
They can suppress the development of various bacteria. Therefore, planting this herb next to onions will protect the latter from fungal diseases.
Also, with this type of planting, plants do not deplete the soil, but, on the contrary, can saturate it with useful microelements.
In addition, it is quite convenient to grow onions and dill in the same bed. After all, both of these crops are unpretentious and have similar requirements for care conditions.
Only for joint planting it is advisable to choose mid-season or late varieties of onions.
Earlier, the expert explained that it is impossible to plant after cucumbers.
